Feast of the Presentation of the Lord takes place Thursday, February 2nd and marks the 40th day after Christmas when Christ was brought to the Temple and consecrated to the Lord. The candles and oil lamps that will be used in church will be blessed at the 9:00 AM Mass. Anyone who would like to bring candles from home to be blessed is welcome to. Please keep your candles with you for the blessing at the very beginning of Mass.
